Lawmakers in St. Paul take up a revamped bonding bill...The billion dollar bill passed a house-senate negotiating committee today.It would give Gov. Pawlenty a little more than half the amount he sought to expand the sex offender treatment facility in Moose Lake.The bill earmarks $47.5 million for the complex; the governor wanted $89 million.The current version also includes $10 million for security improvements at the maximum-security prison in Oak Park Heights and more than $9 million to expand the Minneapolis veterans home... both Pawlenty priorities.But the package is still significantly bigger than the governor's $725 million limit.
