A sixteen-year-old student could face charges after allegedly assaulting a high school principal.Mankato Public Safety says the incident happened at Central High School this afternoon around 1:45....A student became disruptive and was told to leave the building...A short time later police received a call saying the student was out of control...That escalated into an alleged assault on Principal Steve Byrne... seen here in file video.Police say Byrne received minor injuries.The school district says other students were kept in their classrooms during the incident as per protocol.The district is conducting its own investigation into the incident.
