A young man from Eagle Lake is dead after an accident in Northwestern Minnesota.Authorities say it happened just after 4:00 yesterday.18 year-old Dustin Lemke died last night along Interstate 94 near the town of Dalton.The State Patrol says Lemke's vehicle had gone in the ditch when he started walking to verify his location.That's when a vehicle in the westbound lane struck him.He was taken to a Fargo hospital where he later died.Dustin was a 2009 graduate of Mankato East High School, where he was a high performer in academics, arts and athletics.Shane Baier says, "He was one of those rare people that really transcends age. People young and old really aspire to be more like Dustin. Infectious smile, committed to excellence. To know him was to be his friend."Lemke was heading back to classes at North Dakota State University.
